Mary Joyce McGinnis,

Mary Joyce McGinnis M.D. is owner and founder of McGinnis Women’s Medical Care. She has dedicated her life for over 35 years to women’s health and is committed to empowering women.

Dr. McGinnis received her BS from Georgia State University in 1973. She graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in 1977, Cum Laude,. She completed her Internship in Columbus, GA 1977-1978 and then her OB / GYN Residency at the Medical College of GA from 1978- 1981. She was Board Certified in OB/GYN in 1985.

Dr. Mary Joyce McGinnis, has received the Physician Recognition Award from the American Medical Association, and the Golden Stethoscope Award from the University of Alabama. She was a past president of the Medical Staff at Bellevue Women’s Hospital and is currently director of OB Care at Bellevue Woman’s Care Center @ Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, New York.

Her current professional organizations include: American College OB/GYN, American Medical Association, Association for Reproductive Health Professionals, Physician Reproductive Choice & Health, Family Planning Advocates NYS, and NOW.

Dr. McGinnis’s community involvements include Planned Parenthood Association and The Coalition to Protect Reproductive Health in Schenectady County.

Dr. McGinnis was raised in Georgia and relocated to the Capital District in New York in the early 1980’s. She currently resides in Niskayuna and is an avid dog lover.

Nicholas Kulbida,

Nicholas Kulbida, M.D., FACOG, has been an associate with McGinnis Women’s Medical Care since its inception in 2002. He is committed to improving the health and well-being of not only his patients but all women and he is a staunch advocate for them both locally and nationally.

Dr. Kulbida received his BA form New York University in 1984. He graduated from Universidad Del Noreste School of Medicine in Mexico, 1988. He attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. and completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York in 1991. In 1994 he did his Obstetric and Gynecology residency at SUNY Buffalo Medical and Dental Consortium. Dr. Nicholas Kulbida became board certified in OB / GYN in 1997.

Dr. Kulbida previously practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Stafford, CT. He then became co-founder and managing vice president of Enfield Gynecology and Obstetrics in Enfield, CT from 1996 - 1999. Dr. Kulbida relocated to the Capital District in 2000, and was employed by a private practice in Schenectady, NY prior to joining McGinnis Women’s Medical Care in 2002.

Dr. Nicholas Kukbida has served on the ethics committee, OB Quality Review Committee, and the Medical and Business Advisory Board at Bellevue Woman’s Hospital. He is currently chairman for the OB / GYN department at Bellevue Woman’s Care Center @ Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.

Professional organizations and affiliations include: American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Medical Association, American Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, Northeast OB / GYN Society, and the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.

Dr. Nicholas Kulbida currently resides in Niskayuna, New York with his wife and two children.

Elizabeth Butler,

Elizabeth Butler is a Certified Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner whose lifetime desire has been to work with women of all ages in all aspects of reproductive health.

Elizabeth earned her RN from Ellis Hospital School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Utica Rome in Utica, NY. She went on to earn her Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner certification from University of Pennsylvania and Planned Parenthood Federation of America in PA. She has completed the Masters Colposcopy course for nurse practitioners through Omnia health.
Other achievements include: RTS Bereavement Counselor Certification in 1994,
Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification, 1993, NCC Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing, 1994. Breast Cancer Detection and Awareness Instructor through the American Cancer Society 1995-1997.

Elizabeth has been recognized as a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

As an RN, Elizabeth was employed at Bellevue Women’s hospital primarily in the labor and delivery unit but also in the OR, ambulatory surgery, post partum and nursery units.
While at Bellevue she assisted in the development and acted as a bereavement facilitator for New Beginnings perinatal support group.

Elizabeth has worked as an adjunct clinical instructor with SUNY ACC Registered Nursing program and currently is a mentor / clinical advisor for Nurse Practitioner students from Sage College.

As a nurse practitioner she worked with a local practice in Schenectady, then followed Dr. Mary Joyce McGinnis as she opened her own practice, McGinnis Women’s Medical Care.

She has been a lifelong resident of the Capital District area and currently resides in Charlton, NY with her husband.

Bernice Moeller-Bloom,

Bernice Moeller- Bloom has been a Certified Nurse Practitioner in OB / GYN care for over 20 years. Her goal is to provide the least stressful, most interactive GYN exam experience she can for her patients.

Bernice earned her RN from New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1985 and graduated cum laude. She earned her certificate as a nurse practitioner in OB/GYN from Planned Parenthood Federation and University of Pennsylvania in 1988. She also attended the colposcopy course through Planned Parenthood Federation of America in PA.

As an RN, Bernice was employed by Planned Parenthood in New Jersey as a clinical nurse and a clinic supervisor. She then relocated to the Capital District where she was employed by Planned Parenthood in Albany County as a staff nurse prior to attending the Nurse Practitioner Program.

As a Nurse Practitioner, Bernice continued to work for Planned Parenthood in her new role, then joined a private practice in Saratoga where she remained for 13 years prior to joining McGinnis Women’s Medical Care in 2005.

Bernice Moeller Bloom was also a columnist for the women’s issue monthly, Violet Magazine. She would like to be trained as a SANE (sexual abuse nurse examiner) in the future.

Her current community involvements include: Publicity chairwoman for the Adirondack School of Northeastern New York in Greenwich since 2004. She has also been a religious school educator for Temple Sinai in Saratoga Springs, NY since 1993.

She currently resides in Greenfield, NY with her husband and daughter.

Judith Page-Wilner,

Judith is a Certified Obstetrics / Gynecology Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of experience in women’s health , providing OB/GYN care to young, midlife and elderly women.

She received her RN from Chelmsford & Essex Medical center and her CNM from St John’s Hospital School of midwifery, both in Essex, England. She earned her OB/GYN nurse practitioner certification at the Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner, SUNY Downstate Program, New York, NY.

Judith has served as a community midwife in Colchester, England. Her experience includes head nurse, labor and delivery in Toms River NJ, OB/GYN nurse practitioner in Albany and Schenectady NY. At McGinnis Women's Medical Care, she is dedicated to practicing all aspects of OB/GYN care with a special interest in young and menopausal women. She has been an associated with Dr. Mary Joyce McGinnis for over 20 years of her career.

Judith currently resides in Troy, NY with her husband. She is an avid gardener and animal lover.

Stacey Butler
L.M.T., N.C.T.M.B

 

Stacey Butler is a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist and also holds a National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Her goal and desire is to promote overall good health through stress reduction, relaxation and therapeutic muscle manipulation when working with her clients.

Stacey earned an associates degree in massage therapy from Morrisville State College.

Stacey is experienced in various forms of massage including pregnancy, hot stone, swedish, deep tissue and light pressure massages.

Recognitions include: Partial scholarship to attend Morrisville College, Deans List at Morrisville State, NYS Massage Therapy License from NYS Education Department, and National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She has written about the benefits of massage in the Capital Region Living Magazine Publication.
